Toyota Tests Prius Plug-In Hybrid Vehicle in WeCar Car-Sharing Program at Yahoo!

SUNNYVALE, Calif. – Aug. 17, 2011 – WeCar by Enterprise Rent-A-Car is adding a Toyota Prius Plug-In Hybrid demonstration vehicle (PHV) to the WeCar program at Yahoo!’s Sunnyvale, Calif., campus.

WeCar car sharing complements Yahoo!’s Enterprise Rideshare program – a vanpool service for commuters – to provide a transportation alternative for Yahoo! employees. WeCar provides vehicles for personal use during the work day to more than 50 Enterprise Rideshare participants on Yahoo!’s Sunnyvale and Santa Clara campuses.

General Motors Announces B20 Biofuel Capability For New, 2011 Duramax 6.6L Turbo Diesel

GRAPEVINE, Texas (February 8, 2010) – GM announced today that its new lineup of heavy-duty diesel pickups will have B20 biodiesel capability. B20 fuel is a blend of 20-percent biodiesel and 80-percent conventional diesel, which helps lower carbon dioxide emissions and lessens dependence on petroleum. The announcement was made at the National Biodiesel Conference.
