American Water Issues First Full Corporate Responsibility Report

VOORHEES, N.J., Jul. 06 - American Water Works Company, Inc. Moneris Solutions becomes Canada’s first acquirer to sign on for 100 per cent clean, green electricity with Bullfrog Power

Toronto, April 14, 2011 — Bullfrog Power, Canada’s 100 per cent green energy provider, and Moneris Solutions (Moneris), Canada’s largest payment processor,  announced today that Moneris is greening the electricity requirements of its Toronto training facility with 100 per cent green power. Adding to its current environmental initiatives, Moneris will green 233 MWh of electricity annually through its agreement with Bullfrog. By choosing green power, Moneris will reduce its emissions footprint and support the development of new renewable energy generation in Canada. Furthermore, with its broad range of stakeholders, including more than 350,000 merchant locations and 1,900 employees across North America, Moneris aims to help create awareness about the importance of renewable power and green energy choices.
