People can easily save the planet even if they are constantly blowing their nose. How? Just change from paper tissues to handkerchiefs! I have to admit, the memory of our grandparents’ silk handkerchiefs is kind of a nightmare for many of us and that’s why we prefer to use tissues. So, how about switching to organic cotton handkerchiefs? Due to the material used, this type of hankies can do a good job against a running nose. Also, it can help to dry your hands after washing; thus, a lot of paper is saved.

We also have to clean our hankies regularly to prevent them from becoming the paradise for germs. First, in order to stop cross infection, you always need to place clean and used hankies separately. Then, when you are going to wash them, you can either wash them with your daily clothes or sink them into warm soapy water to make them look better.

If you are still feeling it is inconvenient to use hankies, at least choose recyclable paper tissues when you get a cold. Thus, you can still do good things for the planet even if you are sick.
