The European car company Fiat is in the midst of an interesting advertising campaign touting their Fiat 500 as the car with the lowest carbon emissions in all of Europe - 133.7 grams of C02 per kilometer on average. In the ads, they show different animals inside the car as the car is going through a crash test - shown are a panda bear, a walrus and a couple of penguins. The ad tagline says, “Engineered for a lower impact on the environment.” We checked the Greenwashing Index and this hasn’t been submitted yet.
