The Four Green Steps School Program is designed to inform our children about the environmental issues facing the world today and getting them involved in the solutions for tomorrow. Four Green Steps has created a platform for schools to teach their students about environmental responsibility in a fun and informative manner, while connecting them to children doing the same around the globe. Issues such as climate change are risks we all face together. If we can alter our impact on the earth, we can quell that risk and share peace of mind in its place.
The Primary School Program is comprised of the following activities:
Green Journal - Learning green habits that will last a lifetime.
Students will learn about green habits. Next, they will incorporate these new habits into their lifestyle, and document this experience by keeping a journal or video.
The Green Kid Report - Uncover the news of the day.
As part of their studies students will create a video or written report about environmental issues. The best of these will be posted online.
Research Paper
Each student will prepare a research paper from a selection of qualified environmental topics. They will be able to share information, research and work collaboratively with other students worldwide.
The Secondary Program is comprised of the following activities:
Young Leaders Project - Taking action in your community!
Students will first identify an environmental problem in their community. They will report on how this problem has been addressed and then present their findings in the form of a video or written report. For those issues, which remain unaddressed, the students will present an equitable solution for the issue. The most innovative works will be showcased.
Student Solutions - Help solve the world’s environmental crises!
Students will devise and present their solutions to the largest man made environmental issues.
Research Paper
Each student will prepare a research paper from a selection of qualified environmental topics. They will be able to share information, research and work collaboratively with other students worldwide.
