Thanksgiving is right around the corner and our tummies couldn't be more thankful! This year, show thanks by adding eco-friendlier details to your celebration by reducing waste and making sustainable choices. Here are the easiest ways to Green your Thanksgiving:
Decor
- Decorate with fall foliage and anything recycled or that you already have around your house. Acorns, mason jars, wine bottle vases...

Avoid Waste
- Pay attention to packaging and avoid disposable plates unless they are biodegradable.
- Send guests home with leftovers, or donate leftovers to a nearby shelter.
FOOD

Tofu- Turkey or not Tofu-Turkey...
- The most significant decision you make on Thanksgiving depends upon your turkey consumption. Here is an easy (and delicious!) Tofu-turkey recipe, but if you can't bring yourself to have Thanksgiving without a turkey, make sure to choose one from an organic, free range farm. Try to buy all your food locally from farmers markets around town- it's a green choice and your food will be fresher!
