Help Haiti: Where to Donate Print E-mail

redcrossEveryone is looking for a way to Help Haiti. Luckily, there’s no shortage of methods to do so.

With the ability to disseminate reports of destruction and lives lost instantaneously via outlets such as Twitter, the crisis in Haiti falls at an opportune time for assistance.

While other natural disasters this past decade, such as Hurricane Katrina and the 2004 tsunami, received help, the instant outpour of help for Haiti has been unbelievable. Never before has it been so easy to contribute than it is now. Just 2 minutes ago I was prompted on my cell phone to text HELP to Rogers Canada to donate $5.00 towards the cause. It took approximately 5 seconds of my day to donate $5.00. Truly incredible.

Though we sometimes complain about the constantly plugged-in nature of our world, today we can finally see that the benefits can be reaped in the appropriate places.

To donate funds to the American Red Cross for relief in Haiti, click on the Help Haiti image you see on the right side of the screen. Your money and support will help with the colossal humanitarian crisis currently facing the Caribbean Country.

Here's a list of other places you can donate:

Wyclef Jean's Yele Haiti Earthquake Fund

Doctor's Without Borders

UNICEF

MADRE

Partners in Health

The International Rescue Committee

CARE

Clinton Bush Haiti Fund (Yes, you see correctly. At Obama's request, former Presidents Bush and Clinton have teamed up to help Haiti.)

William J. Clinton Foundation

Meds & Food For Kids

Feed the Children

Habitat For Humanity

For more information on the earthquake check out the Google Crisis Response HERE. It includes information on how to get in touch with family members in Haiti, other ways to donate, and more.

Until next time.

Same green time, same green station,

Brittany
