Mulled Wine

Mulled Wine

Ingredients:

  • 1 bottle red wine (pinot noir or cabernet work well)
  • 12 cloves
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 orange

Directions:

  1. Zest the orange, keeping the peel only (not the pith).
  2. Combine all ingredients in a sauce pan and simmer on low for 20 minutes. Do not boil. Add more honey to taste.
  3. Serve warm, in your great-grandmother’s teacups if possible!
