Despite George Clooney's character in the Descendants trying to make Hawaii seem just as depressing as your average state, actual inhabitants of the state seem to feel otherwise as it has been named happiest state in the USA for the third year in a row. Oddly enough, none of the other states in the top ten seem to share it's tropical and paradisaical qualities:
