Ben Sollee’s music – as it frequently deals with social and environmental issues – is all set to go greener with the Ditch The Van Tour. All his team members will hit the road from August 18 to October 8 with their supplies and cellos strapped to bicycles. The cargo will weigh around 60 pounds each.

The Kentuckian pop-styled vocalist and acoustic cello player will add another sequel to his bike-powered journeying, which started in Summer of 2009 when he traveled 330 miles to the Bonnaroo festival. This time, however, he will cover four regional mini circuits on his special long-frame bicycle made by Xtracycle.
